Pakistan spinner Rehman to Stay away from Canada match


Pakistani left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman is going to miss the World Cup match against Canada on Thursday due to a injury in his left leg muscle in the 11-run over Sri Lanka.

Rehman's injury will take five days to heal as told by the Pakistani Team Manager Intikhab Alam

Alam said that Rehman sprained his leg while fielding in the match against Sri Lanka and had to put on a sturdy in order to bowl. It's an adductor muscle rupture . Rehman, who will be 31 on Tuesday, took one wicket in Pakistan's win against the 1996 champions in Colombo on Saturday.

Rehman, the spinner who has taken 13 wickets in 17 one-day internationals so the team manager doesn’t want to take any kind of risk for him and will wait for him to get recuperate. Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is going to replace Rehman who hasn’t yet played in the tournament.Senior batsman Misbah-ul-Haq, who hurt his hamstring, may be rested, said Alam.
