India lost eight wickets for 68 runs. Umesh Yadavgave quick jolts to Australia in their second innings. Yadav dismissed Openers David Warner, ED Cowan and Shaun Marsh for 5, 8 and 3 respectively. Indian pacers were on a roll as they dismissed Australia’s top four batsmen to lead Indian fightback after conceding first innings lead. Ishant Sharma scalped Aussie skipper Michael Clarke to increase hosts misery who were struggling at 27/4 in 12.5 overs on the third day of the first Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey shared unbeaten 84 runs stand for the fifth wicket to steady Australia’s second innings after losing four wickets early.
